Registration Overview

The summer camp experience is a key entry point for many families joining the Dances of Universal Peace community in New Zealand. In recognition of this, the Core Group offers a number of ways to support and develop Dance Camp Aotearoa as a viable and affordable option for families. The fee structure is one way, where ticket prices are set with families in mind – adults pay a little more while youth and children’s fees are very low (under 6 are free). It is delightful that in recent years camp has seen a steady increase in the number of  teens and children with several new families joining us.

We ask that you plan to stay for the full week. However for some that is not possible. We offer a Per-Night Ticket option (with a 2 night minimum) and encourage you to come at the start of the week.

    • Full week (private or premium accommodation) – added cost
    • Per Night Ticket (Camping only) – minimum of two consecutive nights $100
    • Late Registration (if space still available) +$50
    • Kaiāwhina Ticket (Work exchange 1/2 price ticket) (Full week only)
    • Role Holder Ticket
    • Scholarship Ticket (by separate application)

An Early Bird discount is available for the initial registration period (Aug – November). Registering early ensures you get a ticket at a reduced ticket price, and the option of paying a deposit at the time of registering with the balance due by December 1st. You are welcome to arrange a payment plan for monthly instalments toward your full camp fee, starting from the time of your registration:

Early bird prices (to be paid in full before 1st Dec)

Registrations received after December 1st require the full ticket price to be paid upon registration.     All fees must be fully paid up before January 1st.

The Camp Fee includes dance leadership, accommodation, and ample vegetarian meals.

Late Registration (Available after December 1st, and if space is still available)


If you wish to reduce your ticket price and are willing to take up a role at camp (give up to 4 hours work per day) apply for a kaiāwhina position to join the happy and willing work crew and feel more involved in the heart of making camp possible. Scholarships - Apply before Oct 10.

If a reduced fee will make it possible for you to attend camp a scholarship option may be available. You are most welcome to apply (see the Scholarship information page, under the Registration tab, and complete the on-line application). Applications received before October 10th will be notified of the outcome in November – later applications could be considered if scholarship funds remain.

Registration and payment

Complete the online Registration Form. Within a week you will receive confirmation of how much your ticket(s) cost. Please pay the full amount or your deposit ($150 per adult and $50 per child over 6 yrs old) to secure your registration.

Please ensure any remaining balance is paid by December 1st to qualify for the Early Bird discount.

After Dec 1st, registration is subject to space availability. Full payment at the time of registration will be required.

Please note that all fees(early bird balance or late registrations) need to be received prior to January 1.

Cancellation policy:

If Covid levels require cancellation of camp, all fees received will be refunded.

If you cancel your registration before December 30th, your payment (minus the deposit fee) will be returned to your nominated bank account. When notifying the Registrar of your cancellation, please include your account details for the refund to be paid to.

Cancellations received after December 30th: refunds will be at the discretion of the Core Group.
